It’s fair time!
The Houghton County Fair is the area largest annual event and always features great new rides and exciting shows.
One 
change to this year is that the queen pageant has been replaced by the Youth Talent Show, taking place this evening at 6:30pm.
Bonnie DeCaire-Jones from the Houghton County Fair Board says they’ve seen a lot more interest in a talent show than they’ve seen in the pageant in recent years.
Another fan favorite is the Motorcross show taking place at 7pm in the Main Event Arena.
It’s just one of the many off-road shows put on at the fair.
Event organizer Will Dorman says they aim to please.
Other off-road events include Side by Side races, the Midwest Monster Truck show and the Demolition Derby.
