Rates at the county marina are going up.
The Houghton County Board of Commissioners approved a 6 percent increase of the rates at their regular meeting Tuesday.
County Administrator Eric Forsberg said the last rate increase was in 2013.
The board also approved the sale of a parcel of property adjacent to the marina previously purchased by the county from the road commission.
With the exception of a portion of the property carved out for the docks and parking, the remaining property will be put up for sale at a listed price of $225,000.
Proceeds from the sale will go in part toward marina improvements.
