Houghton Man Arrested After Marijuana Bust

Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team executed four search warrants Thursday at residences located in Houghton, Hancock, Calumet and Dodgeville.

As a result, UPSET detectives seized approximately 75 pounds of processed marijuana, forty-five marijuana plants, and cash from the drug proceeds.

A 38 year old Houghton man was arrested for felony distribution of marijuana and was lodged at the Houghton County Jail.

The suspect was given a $30,000 cash bond.

Authorities say additional arrests are expected.

The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is being released at this time.
