KBIC Makes Bi-Annual Gaming Distribution Payments

The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community has released their most recent gaming distributions.

Eight percent of the gaming proceeds go to the state of Michigan while two percent go to local units of government.

The payments are made bi-annually.

Over $129,000 went to local governments in Baraga County from the Ojibwa Casino in Baraga for the period of April through September of this year.

Local governments in Marquette received more than $161,000 from the Ojibwa Casino in Marquette.

A total of over $1.1 million was sent to the Michigan Economic Development Corporation from both resorts.
