The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community primary election will take place this Saturday.
Registered voters may cast ballots from 10am to 6pm at the Ojibwa Senior Center for the Baraga District and the Zeba Community Center for the L’Anse District.
The Baraga District Candidates are Doreen Blaker, Robert “RD” Curtis, Jr., Kim Klopstein, Michael P. Lahti, Jerry Magnant “Mayo”, Robert “Robbie” Mayo, Don Messer, Jr. and Debbie Parrish.
The L’Anse District Candidates are Lyndon Ekdahl, Randy Haataja, Jean Jokinen, Toni J. Minton and Chris C. Voakes
Tribal elections are held in December with one third of the council up for re-election each year.
