Kenneth Ryan Clark Memorial Fund Established at KCF

Hancock–A new fund has been established by the Clark family in memory of their son, Ryan. Keweenaw Community Foundation is honored to be entrusted by the Clark’s with managing and growing the Kenneth Ryan Clark Memorial Fund. The purpose of the fund is to provide ongoing financial support to one of the critical crisis management organizations we have in the U.P.—Dial Help.

During the months after Ryan’s disappearance in 2016, the family started a crowdfunding campaign to raise money to aid in the search. It was a global effort with friends of the family around the world contributing to the fund. Now that money is being used to help the community where Ryan lived and worked and to help people in crisis.

“Dial Help is such an important organization to help people across the Upper Peninsula. Ryan worked in the health care industry and we feel this is a fitting legacy for our son,” said Marilyn Clark. “We also want to thank all the people who contributed to the crowdfunding to search for Ryan, and although the outcome was not what we hoped for, we can take some comfort from establishing this endowment in his name.”

Anyone wishing to contribute to the Kenneth Ryan Clark Memorial Fund please visit the foundation’s website at keweenawgives.org.
