Keweenaw Community Foundation’s Keweenaw Cross Country Skiing Endowment Advisory Committee Announces Grant Recipients

Swedetown Trails, Cross Country SkiingHancock, Michigan—The Keweenaw Cross Country Skiing Endowment Advisory Committee of the Keweenaw Community Foundation (KCF) announced that $4,995 has been awarded from the Keweenaw Cross Country Skiing Endowment Fund to three local organizations supporting skiing programs in Houghton and Keweenaw Counties.

The grant recipients are:

  • Copper Country Ski Tigers for new race suite for the Competition Team.
  • Keweenaw Nordic Ski Club to assist with the purchasing of a trail grooming snowmobile.
  • Swedetown Trails Club to help with replacing major equipment needed to sustain and improve winter grooming.

KCF welcomes partnerships in the Foundation and urges interested parties to share this information with their constituents and all sub-groups within their organization.  Tax deductible contributions may be made to the Keweenaw Cross Country Skiing Endowment Fund (or to any of KCF’s 80+ other funds) online at www.keweenawgives.org.  All contributions to a permanent endowment of KCF qualify for a Federal Tax Credit.
