Keweenaw Roller Derby Takes On Traverse City Toxic Cherries

The next opponent of Keweenaw Roller Derby is the Toxic Cherries of Traverse City, coming to the Dee this Saturday.

Doors open at 5:00 pm and the bout begins at 6:00 pm.

The halftime performance will once again feature the 47 North Fusion Belly Dance troupe.

Tickets for teens and adults are $5 and kids 10 and under are free.

Then on June 3rd and 6th, Keweenaw Roller Derby is hosting a pair of boot camps from 6:30-9pm at Dee Stadium to introduce roller derby to new skaters.

I love Skatin’ Terri Frew says, “You’ll learn a little about what roller derby is, some of the basic rules, and give you a bit of an introduction if you’re wanting to come on as a new skater to some of the gear you’ll need to purchase and what our practice schedule looks like.”

There’s no cost to attend and there will be some equipment available to use. The event is open to women over 18.
