L’Anse Waterfront Concert series Hopes To Salvage Events This Summer

The L’Anse Waterfront Concert Series will take a month-by month approach to staging its events this summer.

Rik Moilanen of the L’Anse Downtown Development Authority says they hope to be able to salvage at least part of the series, which presents free performances on Thursday evenings from July into September.

The fate of the July portion of the schedule will be announced June 15th.

The L’Anse concert series is one of only a few of Baraga County’s regular summer features that remains on the calendar.

The Baraga County Lake Trout Festival, Baraga County Lumberjack Days, the Aura Jamboree, the Baraga County Fair, the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community Summer Powwow, and the Covington summer concert series have all been canceled, due to concerts over the COVID-19 pandemic.
