League Of Women Voters To Hold Ballot Proposals Educational Presentation

The President of the League of Women Voters of the Copper Country, Leah Bectel, will be doing an educational presentation of Michigan’s Three November Ballot Proposals.

The presentation will be Monday, October 22 at 6:30pm at the Portage Lake District Library.  This educational presentation will contain information on the three proposals that will appear on Michigan’s ballot in November.

The purpose of this presentation is to educate about what the proposals are, the specific ballot language, and positions from supporting and opposing sides.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan political organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government. The League does not support candidates, but does perform studies of certain issues and ballot proposals and takes positions as they see fit.
