Letters Of Commendation Coming To Two Houghton County Officials

The Houghton County Board of Commissioners agreed to issue Letters of Commendation to retired Undersheriff Roy Britz and to retiring Emergency Management Coordinator Jack Dueweke.

Britz served the Houghton County Sheriff’s Department for a total of 27 years, 20 of those as Undersheriff and the rest as a deputy.

He left for the Deputy Chief’s position at Michigan Tech’s Police and Public Services at the end of September.

Dueweke retires from his position after more than 17 years at the end of the month.
