Local GM Dealers Hope for Strike Resolution

United Auto Workers will be voting over the next week on the proposed new contract with General Motors.

The end of the walkout can’t come fast enough for GM dealers across the country. In Houghton, though, Keweenaw Chevrolet General Manager Brandon Schlief says some new cars continue to arrive…

Schlief says they have around 150 new cars on their lot now. Their bigger concern was repair parts… and they stocked up in advance…

UAW members will remain on strike until a deal is approved. The deadline for voting on this proposal is October 25th.
