A Manistique man is dead because of a motorcycle crash.
State police say 52-year-old Markie Sumter hit a tree along State Road near M-94 in Schoolcraft County’s Hiawatha Township Saturday evening.
He was not wearing a helmet, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe alcohol and speed were contributing factors.
