Mark Your Calendars For Hancock’s Christmas Walk

Hancock Christmas Walk 2013Ah, now that Halloween is behind us–it’s time to start thinking about Christmas.

The annual Hancock’s Christmas Walk will be Friday, November 25, the day after Thanksgiving. The walk will take place from 6 to 8 p.m.

The theme is “Celebrating Hancock’s Construction Mile – Christmas Style”. Santa will be riding the fire truck starting at the Scott Building.

Participants are encouraged to dress their dog and enter the “Merry Mutt” parade. The cost is only $1.00 and proceeds go to the Copper Country Humane Society. Santa will light the tree across from City Hall and after will greet children.

There will be cookies to decorate and hot chocolate while waiting to see Santa, free dog sled rides at Quincy Green and horse-drawn wagon rides throughout downtown. Plus, enjoy sampling holiday treats at merchants’ businesses and marvel at the decorated windows.

And don’t forget to register for “Hancock Bucks”.  For more information, visit http://www.cityofhancock.com/ or contact the Hancock City Office at 906.482.2720 or email at clerk@cityofhancock.net
