Marquette Couple Charged With Multiple Drug And Weapons Charges

A Marquette couple has been arrested on multiple drug and weapons related charges in Alger County.

UPSET detectives acted on a tip that the couple was heading to the U.P. from downstate, with drugs in the vehicle.

When the vehicle was stopped, authorities found 18 grams of crystal meth, numerous ecstasy pills and a stolen handgun.

The female suspect was taken to  the Alger County Jail and charged with Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and carrying a concealed weapon.

The male suspect was also taken to the Alger County Jail and charged with Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, carrying a concealed weapon, receiving and concealing a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Names were not released, pending arraignment in the 93rd District Court.
