Marquette Man Charged with Bathroom Spying

A Marquette man faces charges that he hid a camera in a bathroom at U.P. Health System-Marquette.

Jarod Joseph Havican

Twenty-six-year-old Jarod Joseph Havican was arrested after the camera was discovered. Havican was arraigned yesterday on seven counts of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime and seven counts of Capturing or Distributing Images of an Unclothed Person. Bond was set at $70,000, and he remains in the Marquette County jail.

Havican was a U.P. Health System employee. The hospital says it has terminated his employment and is cooperating in the investigation.

The Marquette County prosecutor’s office says all known victims have been notified, and that an investigation continues.
