McLain State Park Prepares For Major Construction Project

McLain State Park will be undergoing a major construction project, starting after Labor Day weekend.

Given a variety of safety concerns, the park will close the day-use area and sections of the campground.

Due to these closures there will be no new reservations made for September 4th through the end of the camping season, which is November 1st.

However, a limited number of sites will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The work will repair and prevent shoreline erosion damage and improve the park’s infrastructure.
