Meal Pick Up Plans For HPTS and Hancock

Due to Houghton County Schools returning to distance learning starting Monday, we have received information regarding meal pick up for students.

On Monday, from 4p-5:15p, meals for Houghton Portage Township School District students can be picked up, provided you signed up with Shelby Turnquist beforehand.

You have through today to contact Ms. Turnquist.

Dr. Steve Patchin from the Hancock School District advised parents that meal pick for Hancock students is set for Tuesday from 4-5:15p at Barkell Elelmentary.

Academic packets for Barkell Elementary will be available Monday from 1p through 3:45p and academic packets for  middle and high school students will be available Tuesday at the High School from 10am through noon.

Class streaming starts on Tuesday.  

He also noted the library will remain open, but may have to return to back to curbside service.
