Michigan Woman Stranded In Japan Over Coronavirus Fears

A 72 year old Michigan woman, is quarantined on a cruise ship in Japan, over coronavirus fears.

The woman, took a three week vacation to several Asian countries, and is now waiting to come back home, while quarantined to her cabin on a Diamond Princess Cruise Ship, off the coast of Japan.

One passenger was confirmed with the virus.

Lock down procedures then went into effect.

Since then, 61 passengers have been removed from the ship, and are being treated at local hospitals.

No word on when the woman will be returning home.

In response to the growing coronavirus outbreak, which has claimed over 500 lives worldwide, Michigan Senator Gary Peters, along with several other senators, is asking President Trump to fully fund global pandemic efforts.

Recently, the World Health Organization, declared the coronavirus outbreak, a public health emergency of international concern.
