More Arrests Made In Houghton Marijuana Bust

Two people are facing drugs charges after a bust in Houghton County.

Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrested a 53-year-old Hancock man and a 28-year-old Houghton man Wednesday.

The arrests followed the execution of search warrants By UPSET on four residences on April 5th.

The search warrants resulted in the seizure of over 100 pounds of processed marijuana along with 45 marijuana plants.

The charges include Delivery/Manufacture of 45 Kilograms or more of Marijuana (15 year felony), Delivery of Marijuana (4 year felony) and Maintaining a Drug House (2 year misdemeanor).

The 53 year old man was arrested, posted bond and was released.

The 28 year old man was arrested and lodged at the Houghton County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.

The names are being withheld pending their arraignment in 97th District Court in Houghton.
