Most Outdoor Summer Concert Series Will Proceed

Several popular Copper Country free outdoor summer concert series will take place this summer. The Hancock Canal Rock series at Porvoo Park will open a week from tonight with Uncle Pete’s All Star BBQ Blues Band. After skipping Independence Day weekend, concerts are scheduled on Friday nights through July. The series is sponsored by the Hancock Downtown Development Authority.

The L’Anse Waterfront Concert series will begin July 2nd with Chad Borgen and the Collective at the waterfront bandshell. Weekly performances will continue into mid-September. The series is presented by the L’Anse Downtown Development Authority.

You can see the full schedules of both series on our KeweenawReport.com Community Calendar.

Organizers of Copper Harbor’s Performance in the Park series have also announced that it will begin July 2nd. A performance schedule has not yet been released. The Danielle Park Concert Series in Laurium will begin on July 9th. Village officials say the schedule will be posted soon. Houghton’s Summer Concert Series is scheduled to proceed in August.

This year’s Covington Concert Series has been canceled because of COVID-19 concerns.
