MTU Celebrates K-Day

Many Michigan Tech students will be heading to Chassell Centennial Park for the annual K-Day celebration this afternoon.

K-Day is designed to be both a fun afternoon, and an opportunity for students to meet representatives from student organizations. As many as 4,000 students are expected to enjoy food, music and games.

More than 170 organizations have arranged to set up booths, ranging from educational clubs to religious groups to recreational clubs, to community service opportunities.

Members of all 19 of Tech’s fraternities and sororities volunteer to help staff the event.

MTU classes will be released at noon today. Free shuttle buses will run every half hour from the Memorial Union Building.
