ORV Class Being Offered In Keweenaw County

The Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Office is offering a free Michigan ORV Safety Course.

The eight hour safety class runs from 9am to 5pm on Saturday May 20th at the Calumet-Keweenaw Sportsman Clubhouse on Phoenix Farms Road in Phoenix.

Class size is limited to 30 students and participants are asked to register with the Sheriff’s Office at (906) 337-0528 by Wednesday, May 10th.

Lunch will be provided to students.

At the end of the course, students can earn their state ORV certification.

All ORV operators under 16 years old are required to possess a valid safety training certificate when operating an ORV.

The class is being sponsored by the Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Office and the Ahmeek Fire Department Off-Road Rescue Unit.
