PHF Asking for “Wellness Campus” Input

The Portage Health Foundation is asking for public input about the possibility of building a community wellness campus.

The initial concept is a large-scale, multimillion-dollar wellness facility that would provide community programming, human services outreach and recreational services.

PHF Executive Director Kevin Store says the basic idea has been floating around the community for years, and feels the timing is right to see if it can move forward. He says all suggestions are welcome, and will be considered. No idea is too big, or too small.

To gather opinions, a survey has been posted at the Foundation’s website. It includes questions about what kind of resources, facilities and programming Copper Country residents would like to see. Results of the survey will be used to drive the next step of this process.

You can complete the survey, learn more about the process, and sign up to receive email updates here.
