Troopers from the Michigan State Police Calumet Post are investigating a suspicious fire in Stanton Township that happened on Friday around 10pm.
The fire was put out by Stanton and Adams Township Fire Departments.
Afterward, the home owners discovered that money and guns were missing from the home.
The fire was reported about 10:20pm at a farm off Houghton Canal Road near Osma Plat Road.
The house was destroyed in the fire.
Anyone with any information or who may have seen any suspicious vehicles or people in the area between 6pm and 10pm are asked to contact the Michigan State Police Calumet Post at (906) 337-5145.
