Scouts Take Notice Of Team Copper Country Players

The national champions Team Copper Country are back home from their successful run.

The team won the U-18 Tier Two national championship game Monday afternoon, 5-2 over the Clarence, New York Mustangs.

Coach Mikka Stipich says scouts took notice of how well the boys from the Copper Country were playing.

Now that the team has returned, the question of where to hang the championship banner remains–a difficult decision, Stipich says.

A reception is being planned for the team but details have not been finalized yet.
