Snowmobiler Injured While Drag Racing

The Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Greenland fairgrounds for a snowmobile accident around 1:45pm on Saturday.

Deputies report that Cameron Lee Lundry of Iron River was drag racing his snowmobile at the fairground races.

When he took off, the skis came off the ground and then the skis came back onto the ground.

The driver then lost control of the snowmobile and was ejected from the snowmobile.

The kill switch was pulled as the driver was ejected from the vehicle and the snowmobile ran over the drivers leg and back and came to a stop.

The driver was transported to Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital by Sonco Ambulance.  He was treated and later released.
