Spaghetti Dinner Being Held To Help Pietila Family

A spaghetti dinner to help one Copper Country family is being planned for later this month.

pietila-jeff-and-tamaraJeff Pietila and his wife, Tamara, are from Chassell and have 11 children.

Jeff fell critically ill in July and spent the last six months at the U of M hospital and in a rehab center.

During that time, Jeff has been intubated several times, fought off infections, had numerous abdominal surgeries, partial removal of his pancreas, gall bladder removal, supplemental nutrition, dialysis, tracheostomy placed and many other tests, along with hours of therapy.

The benefit is meant to raise funds for medical and travel expenses as well as cover lost wages.

The spaghetti dinner will be held at the Chassell Township School on Saturday January 14th from 4:00 to 7:00pm.

Donations can also be made to the Jeff Pietila Account at Superior National Bank.
