Spots Still Open For UP Return North Event

The MTEC SmartZone is partnering with the Innovate Marquette SmartZone to host Return North, a professional careers reception.

The event will take place at the Landmark Inn Sky Room in downtown Marquette on Friday, July 5th from 3-6pm.

Return North is a casual networking opportunity aiming to match Marquette and Houghton area businesses and companies searching for talent with candidates looking to take their careers back to the Upper Peninsula.

“The Upper Peninsula is growing and so are the career opportunities in the area,” says Innovate Marquette SmartZone CEO Ray Johnson. “Our goal with Return North is to showcase these opportunities by connecting local businesses and companies with talented individuals who are looking to find their way back to the U.P. We are providing a casual setting with beautiful views of Marquette for employers and potential employees to start conversations and make the connections.”

Unlike the typical setting of a job fair, Return North is a laid-back, social format with appetizers and beverages provided. Attendees can join the two SmartZones during their visit back home for the Independence Day celebrations to learn about growing employment opportunities throughout the Marquette and Houghton areas. Return North features employers in various fields looking for talented individuals to join their team here in the U.P.

More information is available at Return-North.com. Attendees can RSVP here to “Find Your Way Home”, space is limited. For those interested in representing Marquette and Houghton area companies and businesses at Return North, contact Chad Leisenring of Innovate Marquette SmartZone at chad.leisenring@imqt.org.
