Starting today Spring weight restrictions all state trunklines will be in effect, until further notice.
State Trunkline Roads typically begin with M or US designations.
Last week, Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga and Ontonagon Counties imposed weight restrictions on local roads.
Signs are not posted, but the restrictions will be enforced.
Trucks will be limited to approximately 65% of their normal weight limits, until the ground thaws and roadbeds correct themselves later in the Spring.
