State of Emergency In Midland Due To Flooding

A State of Emergency has been declared in Midland County, as two dams breached, due to excessive flooding, brought on by recent heavy rainfall.

First responders, including the Michigan National Guard and Michigan State Police are assisting with evacuation efforts.

Head of the State’s Emergency Operations Center Capt. Kevin Sweeney, said they are engaged with Midland county officials as the situation is progressing.
