State’s COVID-19 Page To Correct Error

The Western Upper Peninsula Health Department has issued a press release, regarding the state’s COVID-19 page incorrectly assigning a positive status to a Baraga County resident, who was recently tested.

This was a mistake on the state’s part, and they will have it corrected to reflect this in the coming days.

With the error corrected, Baraga County has had 34 people referred for testing, with three cancelled tests, 0 positives, 27 negatives, with 4 tests pending.

The Western Upper Peninsula Health Department is working closely with federal, state and local health agencies, to bring you the latest updates in the battle against COVID-19.

The number for state COVID-19 hotline is 888-536-6136, available seven days a week from 8am-5pm.
