STEM Festival Returns Today

Students from across the region will take part in the revived Western U.P. STEM Festival today.

Formerly known as the Western U.P. Science Fair, the event will take place at Michigan Tech’s Memorial Union Building.

The festival offers hands-on activities for K-8th grade students, their families, and the public. Nearly 100 Michigan Tech students will assist. The public is invited to attend between 4:30 and 6:30.

The fair includes science projects submitted by Copper Country students in grades four through eight. It will be open from 5:00 until 6:00. Exhibits will be judged, and prizes will be awarded.

The fair was suspended for two years because of COVID-19 concerns.
