Temporary Water Shut Down Planned For Part Of Hancock

Some residents in Hancock will have their water temporarily shut-down off today.

The city says Bill Siler Contracting will be turning off water to residents living in areas bordered by North of White Street, South of U.S. 41 and West of Dunstan Street.

The shut down is to install a new water line for improvements on the existing system.

The temporary shut down will begin around 9am and could last through the day.

City officials say every effort will be made to limit the time required to complete the connection to the existing water system.
