Third March U.P. Snowmobile Death Reported

There has been yet another snowmobile death in the Upper Peninsula.

Alger County Sheriff’s deputies say an Ohio man was killed Thursday when he lost control of his sled while rounding a curve on Trail 8 in Burt Township.

Nathan Hohman was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say the crash was caused by excessive speed.

Hohman is the third snowmobiler to die in the Upper Peninsula this month, and the 17th to die in Michigan this winter.
