There’s a new face at the Michigan State Police Calumet Post.
Alpena-native Trooper Michael Oliver has joined the post.
Oliver is a recent graduate of the 131st Trooper Recruit School.
He will be continuing his law enforcement training and working with field training officers at the Calumet Post for the next 20 weeks.
He will spend that time learning the post area, familiarizing himself with the local court systems and law enforcement agencies, as well as sharpening his investigative skills under the supervision of a senior officer.
