Upper Peninsula Has A New Confirmed Case Of COVID-19

The Upper Peninsula now has another confirmed case of COVID-19, this new case, in Mackinac County, is an adult, with a history of domestic travel.

They are in quarantine, outside of the area.

To date, Michigan has just under 6,500 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 184 deaths.

In the Upper Peninsula, Chippewa, Houghton, Mackinac and Marquette Counties, each have one confirmed case.

Last week, Gogebic County saw the U.P.’s only death from the virus.

The public is reminded to observe Governor Whitmer’s Stay Home Stay Safe policy, wash hands frequently and practice social distancing, when out in public.
