Upper Peninsula Honor Flight Looking for Veterans

The Upper Peninsula Honor Flight is looking for both veterans and letters for Honor Flight 18, taking place on September 23rd, from Delta Counties Airport in Escanaba.

The Honor Flight program began in 2011,  and takes a group of approximately 80 veterans to Washington DC for a one day trip, where they meet with various active and retired service members, and are thanked for their service.

They are looking for copies of pictures from servicemen, while they were on active duty.

Handwritten letters, thanking them for their service, are also needed for soldiers who don’t normally receive mail.

If you know a veteran who would like to take the trip, or watch a video from Honor Flight 17, a link to UP Honor Flights Facebook page is here
