Village Of Lake Linden Holds Millage Election

Tomorrow is election Day in Lake Linden. Bob Poirier, Village Clerk for Lake Linden, explained what’s on the ballot.

Most municipalities just moved their May elections to August, hoping COVID-19 restrictions will be loosened by then.

However, the election in the Village of Lake Linden, couldn’t wait.

Should the Millage pass, it would not increase property taxes, as it’s an extension of the rate residents have already been paying for the last 10 years.

In line with Governor Whitmer’s “Stay Home Stay Safe’ Executive Order, this election is being done by absentee ballot.

Because of that, results may not be ready tomorrow evening, but as soon as they’re available, Keweenaw Report, will let you know what happened.
