The Houghton County Sheriff’s office is investigating an incident where a 43-year-old male snowmobiler fell through the ice on Portage Lake. The incident happened on Saturday near Dollar Bay. He was transported to Portage Lake Hospital and treated for his injuries. Alochol was believed to be a factor in the incident.
