MSHDA Director Resigns Amid Controversey

Michigan State Housing Development Authority Director Scott Woosley has resigned. The resignation comes on the heels of a newspaper report regarding his personal reimbursements as head of the authority. According to those documents, the MSHDA leader has submitted tens of thousands of dollars in bills, including those for expensive meals, and received over 12-hundred dollars in reimbursement for using a limo to travel in Nebraska. In a statement, Woosley said he would never expect the state to reimburse “what is not properly reimbursable or at a rate that would be inappropriate.” A spokesperson for Governor Rick Snyder says the decision was “mutual” between Woosley and the governor.
