The man convicted of second-degree murder in a domestic assault issue last December has been sentenced. Nima Nassiri appeared in Houghton County Circuit Court this morning and was sentenced to a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 40 years in prison. He was credited for 332 days served. Nassiri was found guilty of beating his wife, Senaz Nezami, who later died from the injuries she sustained.
