No Disaster Relief from FEMA

The federal government says there wasn’t enough winter damage in Northern Michigan for a disaster declaration from FEMA. The Federal Emergency Management Agency says the state submitted damages of $10.1 million, with the threshold for a disaster declaration being $13.7 million. Up to $6 million in state aid could be available to repair damaged infrastructure through the Michigan Strategic Fund.
