Ontonagon Man Named Outstanding Conservationist

An Ontonagon Man has been named the Outstanding Conservationist of 2018 by the Upper Peninsula Sportsmen’s Alliance. J.R. Richardson is serving his third term on the Michigan Natural Resources Commission. He has been a leader in improving U.P. deer herd health and habitat, and has been active with youth groups in the Western Upper Peninsula. The Sportsmen’s Alliance represents 57 sports clubs and businesses across the peninsula, and serves as a voice for U.P. sportsmen and outdoors users.
