PastyFest 2014 Recap

The turnout was great this past weekend for the 2014 PastyFest. Copper Country residents filled Agassiz Park in Calumet to enjoy the live music, arts and crafts and of course, the pasties. Calumet Controller Susan Dana, who was honored with a community service award, says this year’s crowd was one of the biggest in recent memory.

She adds that one of her favorite events is the Bake-Off and this year’s competition did not disappoint.

This year Connie’s Kitchen won Best Commercial Pasty. The winner for best traditional pasty was Daniel and Marsha Klein and the winner for best non-traditional pasty was Tim Bies.
