Pedal Pub Law Headed To Governor

You could soon sip beer or wine from a cup while pedaling your way from stop to stop on a pedal pub in Michigan.

The State House approved a bill allowing just that, sending the legislation to the governor.

Lawmakers backing the bill are hopeful it’s signed in to law soon so northern Michigan communities with pedal pubs can take advantage of the new law during peak tourist season.

A second bill would set statewide regulations for pedal pubs, which are currently operating in Grand Rapids, Bay City, Traverse City and Marquette.
