A late night police chase through the streets of Iron Mountain ended in a crash early Saturday morning. Troopers from the Iron Mountain Post of the Michigan State Police say it happened around 2:00 a.m. after they attempted to a stop a motorcyclist for a traffic violation. The rider reportedly failed to stop, lost control, and crashed on the roadway. Police say the 24-year-old Kingsford driver was riding alone at the time of the crash. He was later transported to Dickinson County Hospital for treatment. His name and status are unknown at this time. The crash is being investigated by the Iron Mountain Police Department.
