Police Release Preliminary Identifications Of Victims In Burned Vehicle

The three individuals found deceased inside a burned up vehicle in Schoolcraft County Friday have been preliminarily identified.

 

Troopers from the Gladstone Post of the Michigan State Police say the male victim is 42-year-old Jody Hutchinson of Gould City.

 

The other two victims are 31-year-old Carrie Nelson and her sister, 25-year-old Heather Aldrich.

 

Police say these are preliminary identifications pending lab results.

 

Around 5:30 p.m. Friday, State Police troopers from the Manistique Detachment were called to a gravel road in Doyle Township where a burnt vehicle had been found with the three inside.

 

Further testing is ongoing and the case remains under investigation.
