Polls Shows Little Support For Beer Law Changers

People don’t want every gas station to sell beer, nor do they want craft beer sampled at farmer’s markets, according to a survey commission by the Michigan Beer and Wine Wholesalers Association.

Michigan Brewers Guild Executive Director Scott Graham says getting access to farmer’s markets isn’t high atop their to-do list but he supports the concept.

His thinking — if a small winery can do it then a small brewer should be able to do it too. He also doesn’t see an issue with expanding alcohol sales to all gas stations in the state.

Of the 500 people surveyed two-thirds didn’t want to see beer at every gas station and two-thirds didn’t want beer at farmers markets.
