Portage Health has named Diane Torres its interim CEO. Torres is a Michigan native. She most recently served as an operations consultant for the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center. She will take over the position on June 30, 2014.
As the interim CEO, Diane will be responsible for executive and operations management of the hospital while board members search for a permanent appointment.
Former CEO Jim Bogan was recently appointed Market President for LifePoint Hospitals in the Upper Peninsula.
Torres has more than 26 years of experience in administration and executive roles for health care organizations. Torres holds a postgraduate certificate in American Management from the Graduate Business School at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She holds a master’s degree in Business Management from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University State of New York in Albany, New York.
